Videography

Videography is the art and science of recording moving images and sound. A videographer is a skilled expert who handles and coordinates the process of capturing and recording moving images and sound with an illusion of motion. Videography is the production and generation of video content as well as distribution to a specified target audience.

Video technology is made possible through the video camera, a device that initially developed within the broadcast industry in the 1930s but eventually was used outside the industry for a variety of purposes. Video is both a production and a distribution medium. It is a vehicle for art, entertainment, and information used by broadcasters, visual artists, teachers, children, psychiatrists, businesspeople, musicians, and filmmakers, among others.
