Time Magazine

Time is a weekly news magazine based in New York City that published its first issue in 1923. For most of its history, Time was published by Time Inc., which was founded in 1922 by Henry Luce and Briton Hadden. Along with its namesake magazine, Time Inc. published more than 100 magazines, including People, Fortune, Sports Illustrated, and InStyle. Time Inc. merged with Warner Communications in 1989 to create Time Warner before being spun off as a separate company in 2014. In 2017, Time Inc. was purchased by Meredith Corporation. Meredith, known for its lifestyle magazines, sold Time magazine to Salesforce cofounder Marc Benioff and his wife, Lynne, in September 2018 for $190 million.
