San Marino

The Republic of San Marino, in Southern Europe, is one of the smallest countries in the world, in terms of land mass and population, and is an enclave that is located within the territory of the Italian Republic. The growth and development of the media in San Marino is closely linked to its social history. Electronic media are the most important information channels, but the state television, San Marino RTV, is considered the most authoritative source. Private media do not have a catchment area or resources that allow them to grow, while the state has an important economic competitive advantage.
