MP3 players are media players that store and play MP3s or other digital audio files. MP3 players are available as software audio players for stationary desktop computers, but the term most often refers to portable MP3 players. Portable MP3 players can include limited-memory solid-state pocket devices, other portable devices that store audio files on a higher capacity internal hard drive, or portable CD players that can play audio CDs encoded with MP3 files.
