Premarital Counseling

Humans need intimate relationships with others. Marriage is one of the most intimate relationships two people can engage in, as intimacy is provided through the physical and emotional relationships shared by partners. To ensure that a healthy level of intimacy can be developed and maintained, couples can engage in premarital counseling. Premarital counseling helps couples identify and focus on the strengths of their relationship while also allowing them to identify which components of their relationship they want to further develop. Topics covered in premarital counseling include but are not limited to expectations, communication, partner roles, sex, finances, conflict resolution, and child-rearing.
