Postmodern Therapies

Postmodern theoretical constructs have been connected to theoretical approaches in research and counseling. Since postmodernism has often been tied to qualitative research, its utilization as a theoretical approach in counseling has fostered tenets that are often connected to the theoretical approach in research. Because of their adaptation [Page 1268]for culturally competent services, postmodern therapies have seen a rise in popularity within the counseling profession. Major proponents of this theoretical approach utilize its tenets to recognize the unique worldviews of clients.
