Divorce Therapy

Divorce therapy refers to a therapeutic encounter that specifically deals with a couple seeking to dissolve their marital relationship. This is unlike marriage therapy that seeks to enrich, help, or even save the marriage. The couple has often begun the divorce process by seeking out advice from their family, coworkers, friends, and possibly an attorney. They are searching for help because their family law attorney or the judge has strongly encouraged them to engage in counseling before the divorce is made final.
