Custody Evaluations
The high rate of divorce in the United States means that many children will not live full time with both parents. These divorces will have a direct impact on the children’s psychological and social functioning. Children will experience the separation of family in a much different manner from that of their parents. How children respond to the demands of a changing system will depend largely on the child and how the parents handle the process of divorce and shared custody. Sometimes parents cannot amicably decide on a custody arrangement, or one parent is considered a possible danger to the children.
