The World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) is a global organization that addresses sexual health and advocates for the sexual rights of all people around the world. Founded in 1978, WAS, originally named the World Association of Sexology, is composed of multiple sexological societies and members from various disciplines globally. Membership in the organization is awarded at three levels: organizational, individual, and student. Maintained through contributions from corporations, foundations, governmental agencies, and individuals, WAS is able to sustain and continue working toward the goals of good sexual health and sexual rights for all.
