Mental health fields require trainees and new professionals to see clients under the supervision of a more experienced professional or one who is specifically trained in supervision. A supervision contract is a document designed to establish the parameters of a supervisory relationship. It is created as an individualized learning plan for the supervisee. The contract is written by the supervisor and is typically presented to the supervisee before or during the first supervision meeting.
