Mental Health

Mental health is a broad concept that refers to an individual’s general sense of mental well-being and ability to function in expected roles on a daily basis. In the past and for the most part up to the present, professionals and the lay public alike have conflated the notion of mental health with mental illness; since the late 1990s, increasing attention has also been paid to the well-being aspect of mental health.
