It Gets Better

It Gets Better (IGB) is a video project that was initiated by writer Dan Savage in September 2010 as a way to speak directly to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQQ) youth who are coping with the challenges of coming of age. Savage, best known for his nationally syndicated sex advice column, was inspired to start IGB in response to a series of suicides by youth who identified as, or were perceived to be, gay.
