Transgender Parents and Well-Being

LGBTQ individuals represent an increasingly large percentage of the parents in the United States. Although the research on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and queer (LGBQ) parents is growing, we know less about the experiences of transgender parents as they form their families. As members of marginalized groups, transgender individuals often face challenges similar to those faced by their gay and lesbian counterparts, such as social stigma and discrimination.
