The addition of the magazine format to business journalism allowed for more in-depth coverage of the economy and Wall Street, companies in the business world, as well as business-related issues. Business magazines do this, first, by providing articles that are much longer than those in newspapers and online news sites. Second, business magazines introduced different story types to the world of business journalism, such as company profiles and strategy articles, allowing business magazine articles to go deeper than just discussing business practices and performance.
