News aggregators combine computer software, algorithms, and journalistic practices to enable writers, editors, and audiences to collect news stories and other information as they are published by news providers and to organize the information in a specific, personalized manner. This practice can be accomplished in several ways, but the most common is the use of HTML coding on the websites of newsgathering organizations to create RSS feeds and other public notifications of instant updates to news content. News aggregator applications are installed on users’ mobile devices, home assistants, and computers.
