Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence

The Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI) is a comprehensive, standardized measure intended to assess cognitive functioning in young children. This scale is part of the Wechsler series of cognitive tests assessing intellectual functioning throughout the life span. In addition to the WPPSI, the series includes the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC), which assesses children aged 6 years, 0 months through 16 years, 11 months and the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), which assesses individuals aged 16 to 90 years old.
