The Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, Third Edition (Vineland-3) is an individually administered scale of adaptive behavior for individuals of any age. The Vineland-3 is a well-researched and validated instrument that historically has been the most widely used measure of adaptive functioning. Adaptive behavior describes an individual’s daily functioning, or the ability to adapt to his or her environment. It includes the ability to perform in social and personal realms.
