Supported Living

Supported living refers to a variety of services that enable individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities (ID/DD) to live independently in their communities. It is not a residential program or type of residence. Rather, supported living is a philosophy and approach to delivering services across a wide range of residential settings. It provides an alternative to public institutions by moving customized services to where the individual lives.
