Online Survey Data Collection Methods: Leveraging Qualtrics and SurveyMonkey

Increased computer literacy and access to the Internet have allowed organizations and researchers to shift away from paper-and-pencil surveys to online data collection methods. Online survey methods are advantageous over traditional paper-and-pencil methods for many reasons. First, researchers and organizations can obtain data from geographically diverse sets of people. For example, organizations that operate in multiple countries can systematically collect information from all of their employees. Second, participants may take surveys from wherever the Internet is accessible, including their own homes.
