The Mayflower Group is a nonprofit consortium of premier organizations in the private sector dedicated to high-quality organizational survey practices and the sharing of norms for global comparisons. The group was founded in 1971, when survey professionals from 42 large and well-known blue-chip companies agreed to come together on a regular basis to share their experiences, learning, and confidential data. Since that time, membership has been restricted to organizations that meet a specific set of criteria, followed by member review. Once a company has joined, principal and alternate representatives are identified to be regular parts of the group.
