In the field of creativity and innovation, there is some disagreement about the definition of and differentiation between innovation and creativity. Some define innovation as the successful implementation of a creative idea. Some suggest that while creativity needs to be truly novel, innovation can be the adaptation of ideas in the current environment (so the idea is novel in this organization, but not completely novel). Others see innovation as a more inclusive term including both idea generation and its implementation.
