The European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (EAWOP) is the primary professional membership organization for both scientists and practitioners across Europe engaged in the study and practice of psychology related to work and employment, organizations and industry, and public service. The association was established in 1991, at the European Congress of Work and Organizational Psychology in Rouen, France. It was founded as a result of national psychology associations across Europe recognizing the need for knowledge sharing as the European community continued to expand, with many countries in this community facing similar challenges in enhancing the effectiveness of organizations and industry, and ensuring the quality of working life. EAWOP’s registered office is in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
