Vestibular Assessment

Vestibular assessments are used in identifying the likely site of vestibular dysfunction and can provide an understanding of the possible contribution of the vestibular system to the patients’ presenting symptoms of imbalance, dizziness, or vertigo. They encompass a broad range of assessments that can provide information about the peripheral and central components of the vestibular system.

Measuring vestibular function is particularly useful for patients who experience symptoms of balance dysfunction. It can also be used for differential diagnosis of various pathologies of the vestibular system.
