Fundraising and Friendraising

Fundraising and friendraising in higher education are a process by which colleges and universities seek financial resources for their institutions. While fundraising is the process of obtaining donations, including one-time gifts, friendraising is the process of creating, cultivating, and maintaining a relationship with prospective and current donors. The connection between fundraising and friendraising is one of the most critical relationships in higher education, and it is often referred to as donor relations and development.
