Feminist Teaching

Feminist teaching is a form of education that centers gender equity and social justice. It provides teachers, students, and institutions an opportunity to engage in teaching and learning in ways that celebrate the individual lived experiences of community members—namely individuals who are minoritized because of their gender. While there are many expressions of feminist teaching, in essence, it centers gender, exposes gender oppression, incorporates feminist perspectives, and relies on a teacher’s unique philosophy and pedagogy.
