Erasmus Mundus

Erasmus Mundus (EM) is an umbrella term for cooperation and mobility programmes funded by the European Commission (EC) under the Erasmus+ Programme Key Action 1. EM’s most important and best known programmes are the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees (EMJMDs), previously known as ‘Erasmus Mundus Master Courses’. EMJMDs are joint study programmes (60, 90, or 120 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System study credits) delivered by a consortium of at least three European higher education institutions (HEIs) in three different European countries (known as ‘Programme Countries’).

EMJMDs include a mandatory mobility period in at least two European countries and lead to joint recognition of the study programme either as double, multiple, or joint degrees. EMJMDs can include full-degree-granting partners from non-European Union (EU) countries, the so-called ...
