Enhancing Leadership Learning

Leadership has been defined as working with and through others to accomplish positive organisational goals (Kouzes & Posner, 2017). Leaders in higher education have a rare opportunity to be both leaders and learners and to teach others to be leaders and learners. Networked, adaptive, and lateral leadership engages individuals collaboratively across locations, functions, and roles. Leaders who master this type of leadership have the capacity to respond to a global environment that has been described as a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world.
