Co-Curricular Programs

Co-curricular programs are out-of-class activities and programs engaged in by students at colleges and universities. Sometimes referred to as extracurricular activities, student activities, or student involvement experiences, co-curricular programs provide students with a co-curriculum that is designed to complement and supplement learning that occurs throughout the college curriculum. These activities and programs are often designed by higher education professionals to provide learning opportunities that extend beyond the classroom or academic curriculum of a college or university.

Co-curricular programs include a range of student experiences, including campus programs and events, student clubs and organizations, fraternities and sororities, community service and volunteer opportunities, student leadership experiences, honors programs, visual and performing art exhibitions, and club or intramural sports.
