ver time, colleges and universities have each developed a sense of identity that is often used strategically by the institution, or anecdotally by members of the campus community, to describe how the campus “feels” or “is.” This sense of identity is often synonymous with the term campus life.

Campus life is a general sense, or feeling, attributed to the shared experiences of members of the campus community that speaks to an institution’s unique character or culture. It is often described as student life; however, campus life is influenced by a broader group of determinants.
