Asian American Critical Race Studies

Asian American critical race studies refer to research and pedagogy that examines the ways in which systems of oppression shape the contexts and realities of people of Asian descent, as well as how these communities navigate and resist such conditions. Asian Americans are one of the largest, fastest growing, and ethnically diverse racial groups in the United States. Knowledge on this population is traditionally missing from education discourse. When discussions do include Asian Americans, they often do not capture the breadth and scope of how societal conditions shape the experiences of Asian Americans.
