Leadership Foundation for Higher Education

The Leadership Foundation for Higher Education (LFHE) was established in 2004 as a higher education sector agency in the United Kingdom. It was created to develop and improve the leadership, governance, and management skills of leaders in higher education. In March 2018, the Leadership Foundation merged with two other sector agencies, the Equality Challenge Unit and the Higher Education Academy, to form Advance HE, in order to meet the needs of the sector in the 21st century. This entry explores the LFHE, as well as related evaluations of its impact in higher education and contemporary changes as a result of its merger with two other agencies to create Advance HE.
