Gender and Education Association

The Gender and Education Association (GEA) is a vibrant network of committed scholars, educators, and activists in higher education, including feminist academics, researchers, students, teachers, and youth workers, mainly but not only in the UK. The association works to challenge and eradicate sexism and gender inequality within and through education. It also works to promote feminist education within university and other higher education institutions, especially in education and the social sciences. Its members may be teachers in (high) schools and other youth organisations who have studied feminist scholarship in higher education and educate about gender, with an aim of changing the future.
