European University Continuing Education Network

The European University Continuing Education Network (EUCEN) is a nonprofit international association of higher education institutions (HEIs) interested in continuing higher education. It has the dual mission of supporting its member institutions in developing quality continuing higher education and sharing lifelong learning expertise with stakeholders. Its members are drawn from across geographical Europe (defined as those states eligible for membership of the Council of Europe).

Creation and Mission

EUCEN was founded in 1991, at a conference at the University of Bristol. As defined in the 2012 updated statutes, its objectives are:
