Nutrition Education

Healthy people contribute positively to many aspects of society, including economic, social, and cultural development. A prerequisite of health, at any age, is adequate nutrition through the daily consumption of food. Nutrition education guides individuals to support the voluntary adoption of culturally appropriate eating practices leading to optimal health and well-being within sustainable, inclusive, and resilient food and water systems. Nutrition education supports the right to adequate food as a human right and recognizes the dependence of humans on the natural environment for continued sustenance.
