Electronic Performance Support Systems

According to Allison Rossett and others, an electronic performance support system (EPSS) is a computer-based or an integrated electronic environment that is available to and easily accessible by users to improve their performance and learning. It facilitates skill and knowledge acquisition within a particular domain of study. As well as having pedagogic utility, an EPSS is usually designed and developed as an integrated support tool to assist employees by embedding performance and learning assistance within the system itself.
