Internet Exploitation and Child Luring

Internet (or online) sexual exploitation can cover a range of behaviors with the focus generally relating to adult or youth engagement with child sexual exploitation material and/or the online sexual solicitation of minors, which can include engaging in sexual chat, exchanging sexual material and/or using the Internet to approach a minor to engage in sexual contact. Internet sexual exploitation can involve peers or adults and include luring, prostitution or trafficking, child pornography, and other forms of sexual abuse. The focus for this entry is child luring, also referred to as online luring and the online sexual solicitation of youth, with an emphasis on adult offenders.
