Constituents

According to researchers, the term constituency can be a challenge because almost anyone can fall into this category, which makes identifying this group challenging. The term constituents has traditionally been referred to in a political context as those individuals who reside in a geographic area, or constituency. These constituents are served by a politician or representative. The term constituents has also been broadly referred to as stakeholders who are able to take an action, such as customers or voters, but do not fall into a specific category so they are deemed an “other” group.
