ZERO TO THREE is a national, nonprofit organization that focuses on promoting the well-being of children birth to 3 years of age. The mission of ZERO TO THREE “is to ensure that all babies and toddlers have a strong start in life” (ZERO TO THREE, n.d.).

History, Resources, and Services

The ZERO TO THREE organization was established in 1977 by a multidisciplinary group of mental health, child development, and health experts who were interested in addressing and intervening in issues impacting the optimal development of young children. ZERO TO THREE has now expanded into a comprehensive organization that plays major leadership roles in identifying and addressing key issues that impact the well-being of young children and their families.
