Play is visible in various actions, expressions, movements, and ideas of individuals and groups. It is more clearly recognized and labeled than it is defined. While it is difficult to pinpoint the exact meaning of play, it is possible to examine the benefits of play in early childhood education, growth, and development.
From birth, children are actively exploring their world. They utilize their senses to form an understanding of people, places, and things with which they come into contact. This active engagement provides avenues for learning that help to expand the development of the child.
