Pedagogical Knowledge
Pedagogical knowledge might be defined as knowledge of teaching. Understanding teaching requires one to consider the overarching purposes or aims of education. Fundamentally, the purpose of teaching and education more broadly is that the individual(s) being taught learn something as an outcome of the teaching. Teaching might therefore be characterized as the range of activities a teacher engages in as he or she seeks to enhance the learning of his or her students.
