Parents Who Are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or Queer

Over the course of the last several decades, there has been an increase in the visibility of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer. Individuals who identify as lesbian are women who are attracted to other women and likewise the term gay is often used to refer to men who are attracted to other men, although the term gay can also be used for women. Bisexual is a broad term that usually means a person who is attracted to both men and women. The terms lesbian, gay, and bisexual are related to sexual orientation.
