The National Head Start Association (NHSA) is a not-for-profit organization that works in support of the 1,600 Head Start grantees in the United States and the 1 million children and 200,000 staff members involved in Head Start programs. NHSA advocates for changes in policy so that all eligible children can benefit from the Head Start model of support for the whole child, the family, and the community.
