The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) works to ensure that all young children, birth through age 8, receive high-quality care and education. NAEYC members include child care professionals; infant, toddler, preschool, kindergarten, and primary teachers; center directors; primary school principals; college educators; trainers and mentors; policy makers; advocates; families; and others interested in the well-being of young children. NAEYC sets research-based standards to guide professional preparation and practice.
