Guidance with girls uses developmentally appropriate guidance strategies to help all children, especially girls, develop necessary skills to experience and advocate for environments free from gender bias. Guidance is a widely accepted approach to teaching children the skills and behaviors needed to be successful within a particular environment. Guidance with girls requires adults to examine their current beliefs and guidance practices, and adjust to include gender equality as a goal.
