The Foundation for Child Development (FCD) is a private, independent foundation that supports research, fellowships, policy development, and advocacy that enhance the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of young children. Its mission is to harness the power of research to ensure that all children benefit from early learning experiences that affirm their individual, family, and community assets; fortify them against harmful consequences arising from economic instability and social exclusion; and strengthen their developmental potential. For over 100 years, the Foundation for Child Development has used its resources to ensure that all families have the social and material capital they need to raise their children to be healthy, educated, and productive members of society.
