Arts Integration
Arts integration is an approach to curriculum that connects learning in the arts and learning in the other subject areas. At its most basic level, arts integration is used as a pedagogical tool, such as examining paintings to study geometric shapes or using drama to improve reading comprehension. At its highest level, arts integration teaches and assesses the content of both the art form and the other subject areas. It is grounded in the belief that children are active and reflective learners.
