A small group is a collection of individuals that typically ranges from 3 to 20 individuals who are interdependent and share a common goal. Group communication is the interaction of three or more interdependent people working to achieve a common goal. The small group is an important social structure. At the individual level, small groups are woven into the fabric of our individual lives: our immediate family is a significant small group affiliation and is referred to as a primary group to which we belong for many years.
