Peer Review

Peer review is the process of colleagues and other professionals in the field reading submissions (manuscripts) to provide feedback and review articles submitted to journals. It is also frequently used during the submission of conference presentations, panels, and papers. Using a set of predetermined guidelines, the reviewers evaluate the work submitted by the authors or panel participants. The process involves the writer submitting an article to a journal or conference. The submission is then reviewed by experts who do not know who wrote the original article in an attempt to keep the process fair and unbiased.
