Save the Children
With an overall budget of more than two billion dollars and activities in 120 countries, Save the Children (SC) is one of the largest international nongovernmental organization dedicated to promoting children’s rights. It is also arguably the oldest child-centered international nongovernmental organization and has played a key role in the rise of children’s rights on the international agenda and in their institutionalization. This entry summarizes research about the history and work of the organization.
The History of SC
