Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), is a semistructured assessment tool used to aid in the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This assessment creates a standardized environment to elicit particular behaviors and reactions from the individuals being tested to determine whether these individuals show symptoms of ASD. The measure comprises various modules based on the age and language fluency of the individual being tested, and these modules allow the ADOS-2 to be used with toddlers, children, adolescents, and adults—ranging from low- to high functioning.
